Brand SA rebooted with fresh talent

A talented and experienced brand and marketing manager has been selected to lead the re-established Brand SA within the Department for Trade and Investment.
  
Jessica Douglas will begin as Brand SA’s manager next month. As the University of Adelaide’s current marketing manager, Ms Douglas is an experienced brand developer and manager, with a Master of Marketing from the University of South Australia.
  
She is a passionate South Australian who is keen to help build Brand SA to generate local pride, strengthen the state’s global reputation and take South Australia to the world.
  
While at The University of Adelaide, Ms Douglas led the development of the university’s ‘make history’ campaign which highlights achievements of the university and graduates, including Nobel prize winners, knighthoods, Olympians, and Australia’s first female Prime Minister.
  
Prior to working at The University of Adelaide, Ms Douglas worked for Coca-Cola Amatil as a trade marketing executive, responsible for the development and execution of local marketing plans that leveraged national activity and sponsorship.
  
The Government has Budgeted $6.2 million over four years to re-establish Brand SA, which will focus on marketing South Australian made products and grown produce to markets intrastate, interstate and overseas.
  
Brand SA is now a dedicated agency within the Department of Trade and Investment. There are currently almost 8000 businesses registered and using the State Brand, as we strengthen South Australia’s image and reputation.
