Invest SA re-established to deliver investment to South Australia

Invest SA has been re-established within the Department for Trade and Investment, to focus on driving inbound international and national investment into South Australia – leveraging the state’s competitive strengths and competencies. 
 
Consisting of a team of investment and business development professionals, with deep sector knowledge and strong industry networks, Invest SA will also extend its remit to the development and delivery of key strategic investments and projects. 
 
The Invest SA model will focus on the identification of key investment targets to build out high-value ecosystems in South Australia, growing the state’s economy. 
 
Invest SA will amplify the attraction of external investment into economic priority areas within the state, to create long-term sustainable economic growth. 
 
It will provide a bespoke account management and full-service delivery model, working with international and national companies to deliver initial and subsequent investment and trade opportunities. 
 
Invest SA will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating connections across government agencies and regulators to support businesses to easily navigate government process, connecting international and national investments to critical industry and research partners, market opportunities and ultimately, export gateways.  
 
Invest SA will build industry, government and academic alliances, as well as consortia, in support of emerging global growth areas, to drive optimum results for investors and the state. 
 
Working with Brand SA and the Department for Trade and Investment’s international office networks, Invest SA will support the promotion of South Australia’s credentials and investment approach around the world. 
 
The bespoke approach offered by Invest SA will support the development of investment business cases through project development and implementation for long-term success. A key value-add within Invest SA is the capability to continue to support clients after the investment decision is made to implement complex infrastructure and partnership projects.  
 
The bespoke approach will also ensure a successful entry into South Australia for investors through the South Australian Landing Pad program, workforce development initiatives and other programs that best suit an investor. 
 
The structure of Invest SA is currently being worked through by the Department for Trade and Investment.
