28 Nov 2022
World-leading South Australian businesses have received top honours at this year’s Australian Export Awards, with each company nationally recognised for their significant contributions to a record year in state exports.

Winning categories include Manufacturing and Advanced Materials, Advanced Technologies, and Emerging Exporter, showcasing South Australian businesses as the best in the country across highly competitive sectors.

The three local exporters recognised at the awards in Canberra are:

  • REDARC Electronics (Manufacturing and Advanced Materials) – Exports locally made power converters and products to more than 50 countries amid booming online demand. Used in cars, boats and any moving vehicle with a $40 million target in export sales.

  • Fivecast (Advanced Technologies) – Adelaide-produced advanced data collection and analysis to protect business and government agencies from terrorism, trafficking and fraud threats. Focus on US, UK and Asia expansion.

  • MyVenue (Emerging Exporter) – Cloud-based point of sale system designed for stadiums and arenas to maximise food and beverage revenue. Grown from a small Adelaide team to 36 staff working across Australia and North America.

The awards will fuel market and exposure opportunities for these businesses on the world stage as they continue to thrive in the research, development and manufacture of cutting-edge technology and products.

Other businesses from the South Australian 2022 Premier’s Export Award winners which took part at the national awards comprise Accolade Wines, Wilco Technologies, Yumbah Aquaculture, ODD Games, Avance Clinical, and Steriline Racing.

These companies were pivotal in achieving a record $15.6 billion in South Australia’s exports in the 2021-22 year – a growth of 15 per cent – as businesses throughout the state dealt with COVID-19, market access and freight issues.1
